I'm buying a Mac --- Why microsoft is a has-been.

Plainly seen from Bill and Balmer and their last attempt at absorbing Yahoo is the fact that Microsoft is fading into the sunset. Yes, gone from the Internet Age. Things have moved a bit quicker than they planned on, and BOOM; there was Google. Enter Apple, now with the Iphone and an ever-increasing cultural popularity, they'll continue to win over other frustrated PC users like me, and simplify the entire computer process for the average person.

Gates really did all the work over the last few decades... leading the OS market, almost getting shut down by the USDOJ, but ended up complicating computers for everyone in the microsoft way of never-fix-anything-right-and-ALWAYS-patch-on-a-fix method of developing software. MS has really gone to great lengths and received a lot of success in putting computers into the daily life of real people. However, now, Google owns most of the internet that Yahoo doesn't, (hence the attempted buy-out) and MS is slipping.

The simple ease of use of many things a common person can access via the Web, has put Google into homes and minds as a common word. What does it mean? search..obviously! What do people think when they hear Microsoft? Bill Gates, lots of money, crappy and frustrating software is what I'm reminded of. A worldwide corporation employing poor intuition for software development, and forcing it down everyone's throats! It certainly feels like I'm in the muddy pen and there's green on all sides. Macs appear to function very smoothly. On a mac, all the menus and options for the program filter into the OS menus, retaining a smooth, intuitive user experience without having to learn each individual program. Micro$oft relegates the "ui" of an individual program to be handled by itself, and even amongst it's own programs, only copies each instead of making them really all the same one and thereby creating a seamless experience. Once all the programs look different?! the result is massive chaos, and it's all supposed to be simple and humanly intuitive! keeping separate... what are the advantages?

In the process of writing this on my PC, I have purchased a mac. I feel like i'm getting out of jail actually, a microsoft jail. ...So free from Bill Gates' horrid creation windows!! yes, I am excited.

A simple task of logging my time for tasks done should take only moments, and be second nature. I should be able to do them on the fly! With my iphone and a mac, it will be seamless. More time to work, play, or be... less hassle of tracking and billing. I can imagine a world without microsoft... how come the spell checker still flags that uncapitalized form of it's name? Apparently, MS and crew don't enjoy fading into the night. Someday, all form of micosoft iwll be uncapitalized, and they will cease to be a factor... they and the confusion they bring. Hooray Steve jobs for letting Bill do the legwork, now Steve can ride in on the streets paved with google!
